Author Biography

Abur Hamdi Usman, Universiti Islam Selangor (UIS), MALAYSIA.

Dr. Abur Hamdi Usman, originally from Indonesia, holds graduate and doctoral degrees from the Theology and Philosophy Department, Faculty of Islamic Studies, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). He currently serves as an Associate Professor of Dakwah and Usuluddin at the Faculty of Islamic Civilization Studies, Universiti Islam  Selangor (UIS), Malaysia. Dr. Abur has made significant contributions to the field of Islamic scholarship through his numerous publications, including books and peer-reviewed articles on theology, Quranic exegesis, and hadith studies. His research interests encompass the sciences of the Quran and hadith, with a particular focus on methodological and theological developments in these disciplines. His academic engagements extend to field research in Malaysia, where he has examined the Anti-Hadith Movement and the issue of paedophilia, supported by university-funded research grants. In addition to his scholarly activities, Dr. Abur has delivered lectures on contemporary Islamic issues in various international forums and has travelled extensively across Southeast Asia to disseminate knowledge. He previously held the position of Head of the Hadith and Research Unit at the Hadith and Aqidah Research Institute (INHAD), Malaysia, where he contributed to advancing research in Islamic theology and hadith studies.
